Headaches are a very common condition that most people will experience many times during their lives. The main symptom of a headache is pain in your head or face. There are several types of headaches, and tension headaches are the most common.
TENSION HEADACHES
A tension-type headache often causes mild-to-moderate pain, which some describe as feeling like a tight band around their head. It is the most common form of primary headache. Very often tension-type headaches are combined with anxiety and depression.
MIGRAINE
Migraines are a neurological disorder characterized by a throbbing headache and accompanying symptoms, such as tiredness, nausea, visual disturbances, numbness, tingling, irritability, difficulty speaking, and temporary loss of vision.
They can be excruciating at times, and those who experience them state that few forms of pain can compare to it.
MIGRAINE AURA
A migraine aura is a group of sensory, motor and speech symptoms that usually act like warning signals that a migraine headache is about to commence. It typically occurs before the headache pain, but can sometimes appear during or even after. An aura can last from 10 to 60 minutes. About 15% to 20% of people who experience migraines have auras. In migraine aura, in addition to disturbances in the visual fields, there may be numbness in the face or in a hand, as well as difficulty in expression.
CLUSTER HEADACHE
A Cluster headache is a neurological disorder characterized by attacks of very severe one sided head pain and accompanying symptoms, including lacrimation, drooping eyelid, rhinorrhea and eye pain.
It’s called a cluster headache because the attacks come together in “clusters”, periods that last weeks to a few months. Then they disappear completely, only to return after an indeterminate period of time in exactly the same way.
Is there a cure for Headaches?
Researchers have found that acupuncture offers significant benefits in preventing headaches, migraines and cluster headaches and thereby improving patients’ quality of life.
Since 1976, the World Health Organization has included acupuncture in medical treatments and has even compiled a list of diseases that it can treat. Acupuncture has been shown to be beneficial.
The FDA, after reviewing controlled clinical trials of acupuncture, concluded that it is effective in treating chronic pain.
At EYiasis medical, special acupuncture protocols and acupuncture with EY-LLLT are applied, based on the history, age and specificity of each patient.
How does acupuncture and EY-LLLT acupuncture work?
- It relieves pain
- Reduces inflammation
- Reduces the degree of depression
- Regulates extracranial and intracranial blood flow.
- Affects serotonin (5-hydroxytryptamine) levels in the brain.
Due to the highly stimulating effect on cells and tissues, LLLT are also called biostimulating or biotonic LLLT.
