We are all familiar with the pain of a simple headache, which can often easily be treated either by going out into the fresh air or taking a mild painkiller. Many Migraines/ Headaches, on the other hand, are much more painful and difficult to manage. Such headaches are tension headaches, cluster headaches and migraines. These headaches may disrupt ones quality of life due to their intensity and frequency.

Migraines/ Headaches

Acupuncture is a non-pharmacological and totally acceptable treatment method for the management of primary (and other) forms of headache. Researchers have found  that acupuncture offers significant benefits in preventing and treating these headaches (1). There is a spectacular improvement in the quality of life in people who suffer from frequent, intense headaches and choose acupuncture for their treatment. Studies suggest that acupuncture should be incorporated into the existing migraine treatment protocols.
